American Girl Store

Gracie saved all her money all summer to go to the American Girl Store while on our trip to Chicago. She was so thrilled to be able to afford matching pajamas for both her and her doll (well, thanks to a little help form Nana) After she made her purchase we made our way upstairs to the American Girl Cafe to have lunch with her doll. Everyone thought she was so cute because her and her doll were matching. Truth be told the dress was found at TJ Max last year majorly on clearance and surprisingly it had the matching dress for her doll. Perfect for a day at American Girl! Next time we go Gracie and I would like to go to a theatrical performance at the American Girl Store. I think I just may like this American Girl stuff as much as she does!!!!

Quintin just might be a lounge singer when he grows up!

Yes, my little boy has discovered the art of lounge singing. He cracks us up! He sings the "turtle song" with a lounge singer flair! Oh my gosh I need to get a video camera so that I can share it with you! You would all die laughing!!!!!!

CHA Highlights!My favorites.....

Bella Blvd.
Crate Paper
Fancy Pants
Cosmo Cricket
Sassafras Lass

The new company that I discovered is Harmonie from Canada. They had some things I have never seen before. Like full size (12x12) acrylic albums with page protectors in them.

The show seemed to be kinda quiet. Rumor has it people were upset that it was on Orlando. I on the other hand was not upset at all due to the proximity to Disney. I mean lets get our priority's straight.

ENJOY!!!!

By My Self.....

Quintin has discovered the art of playing by ones self! It is a good day at this house. Thank you lord for finally allowing him to 'get it' Along with that has come playing with himself on EVERYTHING! Yes, my friends, this includes but is not limited to Hide and go seek. I know what your thinking how do you play it by yourself? Q has perfected that art and this is how it goes.

1) Place your face against the wall, and count....1...3..2....3 Seddy Ret Go!!!!!!

2) Run around and find a hiding spot....between the door and the screen door is always a good spot. 3) Then jump out from your hiding spot and yell..... FOUND YOU!!!!!!!!!

This quit possibly be the funniest thing I have ever seen. I love you Quintin even if I am no longer allowed to play Hide and Go Seek with you! :)

A major highlight of the trip was being able to go to the Fiskars event at Epcot. There was dessert served and then we where escorted outside for Illuminations. It is my favorite of all the fireworks presentations at Disney so it was awesome!

Bella Love!

At CHA I had the opportunity of seeing my work displayed in the Bella Blvd. booth. It was so cool to be able to see my work among some of the best scrapbooker's out there! If you would like to see more of Bella Blvd. you can check their blog out here. Bella Blvd. is in my top 5 at the show this year. Plus it was so awesome to see AnnaMarie again!!!!! I was even able to say hi to Jane who is growning inside that cute little belly of hers. :)

Every year for as long as we have lived in Milwaukee (over 15 years now) our family has made The Great Circus Parade a big part of our lives. Six years ago it lost its corporate funding so it ceased to exist. Its costs a whopping 1.5 million to put this event on! Yikes! This year it was able to make its way back to Milwaukee. It was a very exciting time for us knowing that this family tradition of ours could once again become a part of our lives. Not only is it a parade but its a festival down by the lake front for the entire week before the parade. This way the public gets a chance to see the wagons up close, go to a small circus, see animals, ride animals and have the fun fair type food like snow cones and cotton candy. My dad and youngest sister Kayla were able to volunteer down at the grounds for the week which they loved! As well as my Gracie was able to sleep over one night and be somewhat of a junior volunteer. She seems to like it just as much as Dad and Kayla do. Lets all hope that this Milwaukee tradition is able to come back again soon.

Melissa.......

Melissa requested that I feature her birthday on the blog. She turned 22 on the 28th of June. I went out with her for a few drinks for her birthday. It was nice to go with er as I have not had the chance to do that with her yet. It was me and my Dad, her, her fiancee and their friend Matt. I had fun with you little sister!!!!!!

OH and while I'm at it I should give a shout out to Kayla our baby sister. She turns 20 today! Happy Birthday!

They are both very good at making me feel like an old lady! Ha ha ha ha!!! At least I can tell them all about themselves as babies because I was old enough to remember. :) Love you girls!

A name tag for Gracie.
A mini about Gracies Dance recital....yes I cut up her costume to get all the elements. I love love love how it turned out!

These flowers are from the headpiece

The flower is from the headpiece

This ribbon is from the headpiece

The back cover is from the bodice of the costume.

I will tell you that neither of these pieces could have been made with chipboard albums. I absolutly love the wood!!!! It allowed me to adhere the fabric to it as well as it will hold up as the years go by. :)

Gracie on her first day of Girl Scout Camp this past Monday. It was the epitome of summer that day. Super warm and sunny....gotta love it!
Baby For Hire????? Q loves to mow the lawn with his little bubble mower! There have been many a time that I have thought how great that would be if he could actually cut grass with it. If he could I am sure he would make a little business out of it. :)
