Day 2 at Disney. Today we started off the day going to Chef Mickey's for brunch....this is my Dory (from Finding Nemo) face during the waiting period. Can you tell it was a bit of a long wait? Well, anyhow here is more of what waiting looks like in our family....

Q had his little conversation with Mickey
Gave his Mama a kiss....OK this is so stinkin' cute...I love it.
Kissing his favorite...."Tuto"
Miss Minnie.
For a while Q, my Mom and I went back to he hotel room for a little snooze. Apparently they went on the carousel...These were the only pictures of while we were gone so I am questioning the fact that they did anything????
Kayla was in like no pictures last year and she is all over the place in them this year so I hope she is a happy camper about being on the blog so much.
Heeeeey, Get Up, Get Loud, Pumpin' Up The Party Now!!!! This was a a major highlight of the trip for me.

Look at her...she is having so much fun!
My Dad is such a good sport with the kids.
Then off to a train ride to try and give Q a little taste of what he loves so much. He of course adored every minute of it.

Waiting for Spectro Magic to begin. Gracie was upset about something....not really sure what it was but she was not into having me take her picture at the time. I know it isn't one of those perfect Kodak moments....but its life and I am sure later in her life she will look at this photo and laugh....right?
Wishes...starlight, starbright, first star I see tonight I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight, make a wish, and do as dreamers dooooooo and a ll our wishes will come TRUE! :)

On the non-Disney front. Q is sick still. Gracie is finally better and we were able to make it to her school carnival on Friday. Yippee for Gracie! Then yesterday I spent the day at Ikea finally getting things for my bedroom. Thanks to my Mom and Dad....I know I am really a lucky lady. Then off to spend some time with the girls scrapbooking.....well there really wasn't any scrapbooking getting done. It was more just time to sit and chat with each other. I really need to do that more often.

Disney Day By Day- Day 1 On the Airplane. This (Above) is all our luggage. Yes, I am fully aware about how crazy this is. But it is what it is. We don't travel light. It's just that simple. We will never change, thanks mostly in part to the fact that my kids have asthma (Which means a nebulizer and all that junk) and allergies and Quintin is a messy messy messy (Did I mention he's messy?) kid! We are talking like 3 outfits a day (On many days) here people. Yeah...that's all kinds of crazy!!!!
Graciepoo ready to go with her new Tinkerbell sunglasses. This was as we were driving away from the house. We did not leave Milwaukee until 2ish. I used to always fly out at a god awful time of the morning....way to early. But this time was different. I must say I don't think I can ever go back to that 5am at the airport stuff. To early! Then by the time you arrive at your destination you are too tired to really do much. Adrenaline kicks in for a bit but you crash and burn early....very early.
Quintin ready to roll!!! He got new Wall-E Sunglasses but he was not into putting them on for Mommy...well what can I say he's two. :)

Kayla and Q on the airplane. He had just woken up from a long nap. He was such a good little man on the airplane. Not a peep out of him....literally I don't think he said a thing the entire time in the air.
Graice sat with her dear Bapa. We all got split up thanks to an airline mix up....OK funny story...are you ready? At first Kayla, Q and I are sitting in the exit row...Well we knew that was a no go because you have to be at least 14 to sit there. So we sat tight for a bit and the flight attendant came by to help us find a place to move to. They moved us to the seat behind. Well, then another flight attendant comes by and says no can do! You cant have a cart seat a row behind an exit row. She is trying to figure out if she has to move all three of us and she looks at Kayla...then looks at me and says how old are you? I paused and reply in a very confused manner....ummmmm 28? She then turns bright red and says OHHHH I am so sorry you look really young. I then remind her that we really need to have 3 seats together so that there is a family member on each side of Q. she then scoots away very quickly. I think she is feeling a bit stupid for thinking that now. Finally about 15 minutes and two moves later we are now in a decent seat. I had to lug that car seat to 4 different seats form start to finish! Ugh! That was yucky. But I guess I should have the energy to do so...after all I am only 14. He he he :)
So here is Q and I on that day. Am I looking 14 to you?
Gracie looking out the window as we land in Orlando...she was so excited to be there. If I could have recorded her voice as she squeals with excitement!

After we got there Kayla the kids and I took the Magical Express. My Mom and Dad (the saints that they are) lugged all the suitcases in the minivan that we rented) Thank you Mom and Dad. So we thought the magical express thing would be so fun for the kids as they play a cool video about whats going on at the parks....nope! We had a non-Disney bus because they were all in use. So there was no video and no air conditioning. We were not very upset about the no air because we are from Wisconsin....we could use a little heat. Although I will tell you that at the end i was sweating and ready to GET OUT of that bus. So we talked about all the fun things we would do and made our own fun. There was a family in front of us that was talking about it as well. It was nice to hear their excitement. So cute. :) Then we get to the hotel and Gracie go this......

Yes, I planned this. I was unable to make her an autograph book thanks to being sick so I got her one delivers from Disney Floral to the room....well along with a little help form my little sister Melissa that works there. She also delivers little gifts for the kids to the room. That was neat to arrive to. :) Then we made our way to Down town Disney to visit with Melissa....we had not seen her in months so it was exciting. Plus she got engaged so we all wanted to see the ring!!! its awesome by the way. I don't know if my soon to be brother in law reads this...but good job Adam!

Finally we all turned in for the night ready for our first full day at the Magic Kingdom!!!! Yeah Disney.

Coming back soon with Day 2 highlights. Gracie is sick so this blogging the trip isn't happening as fast as I would like. :)
Go check it out.......

There is a blog party going on over at GCD on Monday April 6th. It looks like a lot of fun and an opportunity to win some great prizes. How fun is that???? If there is paper involved I will be there.

We interrupt this regularly scheduled Disney Trip recap to share with you my newest projects for Genuinely Jane Designs.
The ice cream shape is super cute and fun to work with. I used fleece on the cover to represent the ice cream. Then i used embroidery floss to sew on the sprinkles and then did the blanket stitch on the edge to finish it off.

A mini book I made for my little guy who just adores anything in motion. This book has been read a million and one times already...i think I will need to make him some more like this. I love them because they are made of wood so that makes them perfect for kids to handle. Plus a lot of sturdy glue. I brought back the old school shaker box technique for the windows of the bus. Again, he loves things that move so this is perfect for him. :)

OK for those of you reading this that are not die hard Disney fanatics like me....here is my vacation in a few pictures...for the die hards I will go into detail later. :) Above is Gracie giving Mickey mailbox a smooch...just cute and shows that she loves this place as much as I do.
Gracie and I enjoying our day at Animal Kingdom. I am really proud of my sister that took this photo with the new DSLR camera and she has no clue how to use it. Good job Auntie Kay!!!
"Well Mickey...I was wondering if we could schedule a play-date sometime next week......." At least that's what I am thinking they are having a conversation about. He loves those characters. i am so glad he did not turn away and want to leave. And yes for those that need to know...he did get to "Hug Tuto (Pluto) on da head" Kid cracks me up!!!!
This is my Q showing his true colors. Little bugger did not want to be held or int he stroller....he wanted to touch everything. This made waiting in any lines very interesting...and entertaining for other guests I am sure. Although when we finally got up to the ride he loved it to pieces so I think it was worth the few minutes of crabby Q.
"Hey, Get Up, Get Loud Pumpin' Up The Party Now!" That was one of my favorite memories of the whole trip. There's nothing like a good impromptu dance party in the middle of the street at the magic kingdom. Disney knows how to give us a good time. :)
I'm Home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am finally able to sit down at the computer after being home from vacation for an entire week now. I know you are all wondering how it was. It was eventful. I started out the vacation still at the end of being sick and then the last few days we all got hit with the flu....or the 'black plague' as I like to call it. It was awful. But, that being said it was still awesome! We have been doing this for 6 years straight and we have never gotten sick like this on vacation so I guess it is fine to have one year like this. We did a lot of really awesome things that we had never done before and most of all we got to see my little sister in action as a cast member. I even took paparazzi style photos of her at work. Way to go big sis. I know....I rock. Well then we got home and everyone was still not doing well. It was as if this awful flu came back again. Now come on....thats not fair??? Whats up with that?? Oh well, thats life I guess.
So soon I will be flooding you with Disney pictures galore. I think in total between all the camera we had we took about 500 pictures...I know WOW! So take this time while I am only writting to prepare yourself for a Disney picture overlaod. It wouls probably be more fun if you got yourself a snack and a soda. :) I know I am super funny today.

I think I am ready.......

I leave for sunny Florida tomorrow at 2pm! I sure hope that I am ready to go. I have been sick for the past 2 weeks so I brought in some assistance to help me get everything ready. My Mom and my Sister helped get the kids all packed. My sister helped me pack. My Dad has been helping drive Gracie to school each morning so that I can get a little extra sleep. I threw the idea of making the kids autograph books out the window. For once I think they can get pre-made books. Actually, last night I spoke with my little sister(who is currently a cast member down at Disney) and we came up with a plan to have the autograph books delivered from Disney Floral all wrapped up with mouse ears in cellophane with a big bow! I think that will be nice surprise for them to have if I cant make them a special one.I know I would have loved that when I was thier age! The last thing I have to do is get the kids 'to-do' bags packed. Oh, and I would love to be able to paint my nails and toe nails. But, if all else fails I can always do that while the kids are playing in the wadding pool. I know I still need some time to rest here before I go so I should probabvly get a little nap in while Q is down. Hopefully I wont be writting you in 10 days after I return to tell you....ummm I forgot this and that blah blah blah! I guess that still waits to be seen :)

Pages from my most recent Disney class at my local scrapbook store. This is my favorite class to teach of course because Disney is involved! Oh and by the way I leave for Disney in less then 2 weeks! :)
